The knowledge base among our instructors is huge. Several of us get the opportunity to travel across the country for conferences to gain new information. The truth is we have some best kept secrets right here on campus that need to be shared. I am looking to organize some professional development that centers around distance ed. We would hold these sessions virtually using a web conferencing software called Elluminate. All that would be needed is internet access and a headset. And I am presently looking for some DCCC faculty and staff that are willing to share. Do you have a teaching strategy that works well in your distance classes? What creative things do you do in an online class? Do you have a software you use that others could benefit from? The possibilities are endless. If you have something you would like to share (no matter how big or small), please contact me via email at dLstanfi@davidsonccc.edu.
