This page is dedicated to providing training on Google Docs. The goals of this training are to show learners how to create, upload, and share a Google Doc as well as create and share a Google Form. The screenshots and videos are meant to be viewed in order from the top down.
If at any point during the instruction you have a question, use this link to ask a question: Ask Your Instructor a Question.
Part One: Adding content to your Google Drive area
For Practice: Take any word document that you have and upload it to your Google Drive. Also, create a sample Google document. Give it a try!

Part Two: Sharing a Google Document
For Practice: Access the two documents that I have shared with you below. The first one you have editing rights to. The second one you have access to comment only. Click into them and follow the directions.
Google doc – Editing Rights
Google doc – Commenting Rights
Assignment: Share a Google Document with me. You can choose between either of the two methods described in the “How to Share a Google Document” instruction. Give me commenting rights only. If needed, my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. I will confirm with you once I get access to your document.
FAQ’s: Click on the FAQ’s Link to see a video addressing the common questions of this course. While this training is for a beginner level, some of these questions go a step beyond this training.
Part Three: Using Google Forms
Assignment: Create a Google Form that has at least three questions. Set up the notification rule so that you will be emailed whenever someone submits to the form. Share the form (not the responses) with me. I will fill out your form as confirmation that I have received it.
