Our Mission Statement
DCCC’s Office of Distance Learning and Instructional Technology assists faculty in providing students with a quality education that is flexible, engaging, up-to-date, and technology-rich.
Dori Stanfield: Coordinator, Instructional Technology and Distance Learning
Dori obtained her Masters in Applied Mathematics from Western Carolina University, Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Bachelors of Arts in Communications from Pfeiffer University. She taught mathematics at DCCC for 6 years and has been in her coordinator position since 2009. Currently she is working on a Masters in Instructional Technology at East Carolina University. Dori enjoys being active and plays soccer and tennis.
Matthew (Mac) Wishart: Online Learning Support Specialist
Mac obtained his Masters in Instructional Technology from the University of Tennessee and his Bachelors from Middle Tennessee State University. He worked for 3 years in public schools as a technology coordinator before coming to DCCC in 2013. Mac enjoys being outside hiking, running and biking.
Suzanne Edmonds: Instructional Technology Specialist
Suzanne obtained her Master of Arts in Educational Media from Appalachian State University and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, also from Appalachian State. She taught elementary age students (2nd and 5th grade, respectively) for 7 years before making the move to DCCC. She has been at DCCC since 2012. Suzanne enjoys reading, taking pictures, and spending time with her husband, Joe and Miniature Schnauzer, Yosef.
Gloria Myers: Administrative Support Staff
Gloria obtained her Associates in Applied Science degree in Human Resources Management from DCCC as well as her Business Administration diploma. She has 33 years work experience ranging from pathology lab assistant, medical transcriptionist, to personnel manager. Gloria is a member of the National Association of Professional Women. She plans to continue her work at DCCC until it’s time to retire and travel with her family.
Teresa Ashby: Moodle Administrator
Teresa works in the IT department at DCCC as an Information Technologist, Application Support. However, she is considered an integral part of the Distance Learning and Instructional Technology team as her role of Moodle Administrator is foundational to what we do.
